Drinking Wine in Clubhouse

Drinking Wine in Clubhouse

So, what is Clubhouse exactly?

Clubhouse is an audio, invite-only app where participants can move around virtual rooms discussing arts and culture, from popular TV shows to the state of the music industry.

Users can visit different chat rooms that focus on subjects that interest them. They can simply listen or choose to be a part of the conversion. Much like a live stream on Youtube, Instagram, or Facebook, combined with a podcast. Imagine a clubhouse where you go listen to others speak. Or if you are and elder millennial or older — it is kinda like an AOL chatroom with audio vs text.

Okay… and?

Also, it isn’t Facebook. So, that’s kinda the allure right off the bat. Because I know I'm not the only one that's kind of feeling over Facebook, at least for my personal use. I still use it for social media marketing purposes for my clients, and my own brand because everybody and their moms are literally on Facebook.

I see Clubhouse being a great way to host virtual events where a group of speakers can share their knowledge to a community that is wanting to hear more (vs creating a virtual event and only having your close circle of connections join).

Anyone can create a room that is open to everyone, or just people they choose, and establish themselves as a thought leader in the space they are passionate about (read more about my two cents about how to find your brand passions). You cannot record any of the rooms, but you can almost always find a like-minded community and find support for any topic you are passionate about.

On the homepage, you can find a schedule of rooms that are currently happening that align with your interests. Mine: social media, wellness, food & drink, photography, writing, podcasts, marketing, and DTC.

Passionate About Wine in Clubhouse?

It is always cocktail hour during a crisis. Ina Garten said something like this at the beginning of quartine back in spring 2020. I love this quote so much, I added the happy hour quote to a funny coffee mug on my own ETSY shop!

So, my recommendation is to grab a bottle of wine and one of my “coffee” mugs, lol — and join in a room of your choosing.

Wine in Clubhouse

The topic of WINE isn’t available as a topic yet but “Food & Drink” and “Bring a Drink” both are so I would love to invite my wine friends and lets get rooms together to talk about wine marketing and how important DTC, online sales and data is to moving the wine industry forward in 2021.

Until then, don’t mind me as a grab a glass of wine and listen to rooms full of diverse people talking about social media marketing and pop culture. I’ll be drinking a Robert Biale Vineyard Napa Valley Zinfandel..

What is your favorite wine to open and listen to a podcast or Clubhouse room?
