This debate was brought up this past week as I shared images of my husband, 3-year-old son, my friends, and me at the 3rd Annual Women's March on January 19th, 2019 in downtown Santa Rosa. I shared the same images to both my Instagram account and Facebook page (and the latter received comments from friends, likes, hearts, and one angry face from a cousin with whom I’m not actually Facebook friends)... Instagram was a completely different experience.
I work with wine, food, and hospitality brands on positioning and message. I hold multiple titles at once: Product Marketing, Brand Strategy, Writer, and Children’s Book Author.
I’ve spent years in social media and content, teaching it, building it, running it for clients. My focus has changed, mostly because social media marketing has changed.
Most teams don’t need more content. They need clarity on what they’re trying to say and how to best say it.
I also run workshops and share what I’ve learned with teams who want to get better at this without adding more noise.
