Halfway through Cancer Treatments
Today is officially the halfway point of my cancer treatments!!! 🥰
Only 3 more weeks left of daily radiation and chemo pills (with a break on weekends), and 3 more weeks of driving down to Dublin every week day.
Though, doctors warned me the first three weeks would feel semi-normal with a few side effects, but the last three weeks, and several weeks AFTER would get more intense.
Anal Cancer Side Effects
I will say that I’m definitely starting to feel those more — aka burning in the radiation areas, and my tiredness has increased a little bit more.
With more intense, painful side effects, I get more intense drugs which means I have to figure out how my body reacts to each medication, and find a good balance for my digestion.
It also means a lot more naps. ... and let’s be honest, I think we all would rather just nap the rest of this year away (well I would like to wake up to cast my ballot for the November election).
Having Cancer = Rest!
Currently I am so ending my days focused on taking walks, eating healthy, and doing a little bit of work here and there.
In fact, I have two really exciting projects that are in the works — and honestly I would’ve never had time for either of them if life was “normal” and I had all my clients like I did back in March.
So, here’s to unexpected pivots.
I would much rather be full force, but right now is my time to rest, and take care of myself. Hopefully you all have a little bit of time to do that for yourself as well. ❤️❤️
Its a good remind for that I need to stop once in a while and focus on myself more often, and not let something like a pandemic, or health problems like cancer stop me in my tracks before I focus on projects I am really excited about.
